I use it for many tasks, such as if I��m marking with a very long level. It forms a base for one end of the level whilst I mark it.

Es una verg��enza que se vanda este articulo, lo recibi, lo primero que me paso, al sacarlo de la caja, me corte dos dedos, debido a que le dejan todas las rebabas de cuando la fabrican y cortan como cuchillos, se tendria que prohibir la venta de articulos mal terminados, no recomiendo compra si quieren conservar los dedos sin cortes.

Be careful and/or wear gloves when you unbox the scissors jack.<br>The top and lower plates are made from stainless steel that was stamped (to form approximately 1/4" flanges on all sides of the plates). The edges of these plates, on the unit I received are razor sharp. Evidently, the punch / shear that formed the plates was not maintained and left nasty edges while forming.<br><br>If you have a good file selection and 15-20 minutes of time to spare, the edges can be dressed and the jack will be safe to use. (I also hit them with steel wool after filing.)<br>I would have rated it 5 stars without this issue.
