    Used in several lab applications to prevent gas or liquid backflow. Response time can be improved by orienting the valve vertically, when positive pressure stops then gravity makes the glass "bead" fall and immediately seal from reverse flow. Works for air/gases and liquids; uses a standard hose barb. A small and often overlooked but essential item that greatly increases the safety of chemical experiments. Simply a must-have!
