All in all this vacuum adapter works as intended, but there are some quality issues which is why I only rated this 3 stars. Upon delivery there was chipped/flaked glass on the inside of the ground glass joint. While it doesn't affect the performance, it is a weak spot if nothing else.<br><br>Also, the downstem tip is just cut glass and has not been flame polished so there is a sharp edge on it that is prone to chipping, although because the downstem does not protrude beyond the ground glass joint, it is fairly protected from damage anyway. Once again, it doesn't affect the performance of the adapter so it isn't a huge issue. It just makes the unit a little more fragile than it otherwise would be.
